The Barista is the face of the cafe, responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and
beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall
atmosphere of the establishment. This role combines technical coffee-making skills with
a passion for hospitality, teamwork, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic,
detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include coffee and beverage preparation, customer service,
product knowledge, team collaboration, cleaning and organization, stocking and inventory & cash handling.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not
mandatory.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is an advantage.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends,
and holidays.
Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
