Our client seeks a Manager - Resolution & Deposit Compensation Division to join their team. Role Profile: The Manager will assist in discharging all the operational responsibilities of the team, on a day-to-day basis. This encompasses preparing and considering resolution plans for banks, and the analysis of a wide range of data from multiple sources. This role also encompasses administrative support to a committee, managing records, and maintaining relationships with government agencies and other financial bodies. Key Responsibilities: Undertake resolution planning and resolvability assessments in relation to banks incorporated in the Isle of Man. Review / contribute to the resolution planning and resolvability assessment processes led by Resolution Authorities of home jurisdictions in relation to bank branch operations in the Isle of Man. Support the Technical Lead - Resolution and Deposit Compensation with matters within the team's remit. Assess the recovery plans of banks, in conjunction with Supervision staff, to ensure that such plans are acceptable in the opinion of the Resolution function. Provide an efficient and effective secretariat service, maintaining all relevant records in line with the Corporate Governance requirements. Develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant industry bodies and government agencies. Develop relationships with peer Resolution Authorities and Compensation Scheme Managers in other jurisdictions, conducive to effective international co-operation and collaboration. Conduct business meetings with the agreed portfolio of regulated entities in respect of resolution matters. Ensure breaches, complaints and errors by regulated entities in relation to resolution and Depositors' Compensation are logged and reported to the Technical Lead in a timely manner and recommend remedial action. Research and write letters, papers and reports on resolution and depositor compensation matters and contribute to the team's periodic reports. Review and contribute to proposed new, and changes in existing, legislation and policy for both Resolution and Depositors Compensation. Ensure internal systems and procedures are adhered to, including team service level standards and procedures. Key Skills & Experience: Essential: Hold, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification. Industry experience in a compliance, assurance, risk or audit role. Proven ability to build and maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels including the ability to influence and negotiate. Ability to prepare, lead and conduct meetings. Strong analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage a workload of varied complexity, to manage competing priorities and to deliver against deadlines. Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite. Desirable: Proven experience working for a financial services regulator, ideally in a supervisory type role. A working knowledge of the banking and money transmission sectors and associated legislation, regulation and guidance. Strong working knowledge in relation to risk and risk frameworks, including the ability to identify, evaluate, rate, manage and mitigate risks.
