8 Reasons not to be Blue on Blue Monday
The third Monday in January has been dubbed ‘Blue Monday’ for being the 'most depressing day of the year', but with an abundance of nature, a great community and breath-taking views, there is no need to be blue in the Isle of Man!Whilst the Christmas and New Year celebrations may have ended, there are still plenty of reasons for you to love Island living, here are just a few:
1. The Natural Beauty
As the only entire nation to be awarded UNESCO biosphere status, the abundance of natural beauty in the Isle of Man cannot be overlooked. Enjoy the lights on a walk down Summer Hill Glen or wrap up warm and take a hike up the hill of South Barule.

A large part of why our expats love our Island is the warm, friendly and welcoming community. If you are feeling blue this Monday, walk in to any coffee shop in the Island where you will be welcomed with a smile!

Whether you’re trying the local speciality; freshly caught scallops, or indulging in the classic; Chips, Cheese and Gravy, visit one of the Island’s artisan eateries, spoil yourself in one of the high-end restaurants or stop at one of our local takeaways where you will find food to indulge your every desire.

In the Isle of Man there is always a local site to spark your interest. From the expertly maintained Castle Rushen in the South of the Island to the historic and atmospheric ruins of the beautiful Peel Castle, you can spend your days learning more about our Island where it is impossible not to be intrigued.

In the Isle of Man, not only is the average commute time only 20 minutes, but travellers are also spoilt by the breath-taking views which are presented at every angle of our Island.
