Technology Governance & Risk Analyst

Our client seeks a Technology Governance and Risk Analyst to join their team. Role Profile: The purpose of this role is to support the operation of the Risk Management framework within Technology & Change. The role holder will support the Senior Leadership Team by ensuring timely preparation of all risk related activities across the department. The responsibilities will include the preparation and review of risk assessments for new and existing outsourcing and supplier arrangements as well as the preparation and completion of annual policy reviews. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Enterprise Risk Management Framework within Technology & ChangeIdentify, assess and mitigate technology related risksCoordinate the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of controls, ensuring they operate as expectedPerform and review risk assessmentsTo support the team coordination of internal and external AuditsReview, update and report on policies, procedures and registers within the departmentSupport Technology & Change outsourcing and procurement processes; onboarding, annual reviews etcRaise, review, monitor and report Technology & Change related Risk events including actionsAdherence to processes, controls and risk managementSupport adherence to regulatory requirementsCoordinate and perform annual process and policy reviews for policies owned by Technology & ChangeTimely and accurate reporting of activities, priorities and escalation where required.Support and help coordinate releases Key Skills and Experience EssentialStrong critical thinking to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and processes.Proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and process improvements.Strong written and verbal communication skillsProactive and a desire to learn new skills Analytical and Problem-solving skills Desirable Knowledge of ISO27001, COBIT or other IT frameworks Ability to respond to changing regulations, risks, and business needs.Prompt, effective, clear and concise reporting Knowledge of the Financial Services Experience and/or proficiency in risk management / controls Experience working within a Technology, Project management, Risk & Controls Team/ structureRelevant Risk/IT certification r
