For this role we are seeking someone with key communication skills, previous administrative experience and a mature and approachable manner for dealing with members of the public, whilst fostering good relationships with staff and Cathedral officers, other regular contacts (e.g. diocesan officers) and volunteers.
In addition they should be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
A capacity to work without supervision and the ability to handle multiple tasks and to work to deadlines and able and willing to delegate.
An ability to prioritise work according to importance and urgency and to work under pressure.
Reliability and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters and having the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism
Empathy with the aims of the Church of England, and ideally some familiarity with the Church's structures
A person who will be willing to offer advice as appropriate and implement policies and strategies with which s/he may not agree.
A person with a flexible and disciplined approach to work and an ability to develop and implement efficient procedures.
Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and a commitment to implement the Cathedral's Safeguarding policies and processes.
