The Payroll Manager will act as the financial custodian of the companys payroll accounting and reporting function. The role is crucial in establishing a high-performing finance function that balances financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence. The Payroll Manager will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders, chiefly the People team, playing their part in supporting the companys strategic and commercial objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Acumen:
Develop a payroll reporting suite that supports FP&A in providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth
Create and develop a reporting model compliant with relevant reporting standards which is robust enough to be scalable.
Manage relationships with the People team, FP&A and Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of Payroll reporting from record to report.
3. Finance Systems & Transformation:
Champion Payroll Accounting and Reporting related transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, automation of finance processes, and system integration.
Collaborate with HR, Finance Systems and Accounting to ensure reporting and payroll accounting controls deliver accurate, timely data.
4. Payroll Operations:
Manage and be the process owner for Finance related global payroll processes, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll management across all jurisdictions.
Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of Finance related payroll operations.
6. Governance & Compliance:
Ensure strong financial controls are in place across all finance functions, maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
7. Payroll Reporting & Compliance:
Manage the Finance streams for Payroll Reporting where applicable for the jurisdictions in which the company operates.

Qualifications & Experience
Qualified accountant with more than 5 years PQE outside of Audit is preferred (candidates with eGaming or financial service industries experience are preferred but not essential).
Significant, demonstrable experience of working on Payroll operations and Reporting in multiple jurisdictions is essential.
Demonstrable Advanced Excel Knowledge is essential.
Knowledge of multi-currency IFRS led accounting essential.
Hands on demonstrable knowledge of using multiple accounting packages or ERPs is desirable. (This will ideally be Navision but experience of other multi currency packages will be sufficient).
Good written and verbal English language skills essential.
