Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in engineering management, preferably in the telecom industry (mobile, data, fixed-line, or broadband services).
Proven experience leading teams of engineers, managing multiple projects, and driving performance improvements.
Technical expertise in telecom infrastructure, including experience with mobile networks (2G, 4G, 5G), data (ethernet, MPLS), broadband (Fiber, GPON), and fixed-line voice (SBC, SIP) networks.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities, with an ability to analyse and interpret complex data, with a focus on performance metrics and reporting.
This managerial role is to lead and manage a diverse team of qualified engineers in Isle of Man responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the company's mobile, data, fixed, and broadband infrastructure which serve both the consumer and business/enterprise segments. The role involves overseeing the engineering team, ensuring projects are completed on time, maintaining high standards of quality, and driving continuous improvement across engineering operations. The Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams located across Sure jurisdictions and CIIM (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) in particular, ensure optimal network performance, and contribute to the strategic direction of Isle of Man technology initiatives in alignment with Sure Group business objectives.
