Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in an Adult Mental Health and Complex needs care home setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall management of the facility, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained for all residents. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.
Duties:
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the needs of residents.
Administer medication as prescribed and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
Support staff in delivering high-quality home care services, providing guidance and training as necessary.
Foster a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and dignity.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Participate in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to within the facility.
Requirements:
Must have completed A level qualifications.
Must have or be part way through their level 5 qualification in leadership. Previous experience in a leadership role within a care home, nursing home, or assisted living environment is essential.
A background in nursing or relevant qualifications in health and social care is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of care plans and medication administration protocols.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of residents.
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
