Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. You will report directly to the General Restaurant Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in bartending or culinary arts, and experience in supervising staff within a hotel or restaurant environment. You will be responsible for managing front-of-house operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service to guests.
Assist in training and developing staff in bartending, food production, and customer service skills.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the establishment.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and efficient service during busy periods.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels of bar and dining supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times while managing labour costs effectively.
Implement operational procedures that improve efficiency and enhance the guest experience.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Experience in bartending or culinary arts is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
