As Legal Counsel, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the legal strategy and compliance efforts of our dynamic organisation.
Job requirements -
Your responsibilities:
Drafting and reviewing agreements and other legal documents, including service agreements and marketing agreements.
Conducting legal research and analysis on various regulatory and compliance matters, including following industry trends to support the wider business.
Obtaining and implementing legal opinions on regulatory matters.
Providing legal support for product development initiatives, including advising on intellectual property issues, data protection, and consumer rights.
Drafting and maintaining customer facing terms and conditions to ensure the product is fully compliant.
Assisting in the management of legal disputes and litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel and preparing case materials.
Ensuring that corporate governance standards are adhered to across the business and being instrumental in setting up any required board and committee meetings to ensure that approvals are obtained.
Assisting with company structuring queries and working closely with company secretary and finance to ensure good corporate governance.
Responding to ad hoc queries from across the business efficiently and with an open mindset.
Reviewing and advising on advertising and marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, compliance, internal audit and finance, to address legal issues and provide strategic guidance.
Assisting in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
Handling legal correspondence and maintaining accurate records of legal matters and contracts.
Creating legal template documentation to enable the business to self-serve where possible.
Preparing and delivering internal training sessions for the business and contributing to continuous improvements.
Staying updated on changes to law and regulation, identifying risk areas and providing updates to the relevant areas of business affected.
Contributing to the continuous improvements on the department by putting in place processes and new technology to drive efficiencies and automation.
Skills you will require:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
Qualified lawyer with solid background in legal and corporate governance principles, with appropriate legal qualifications.
Previous experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably within the gaming industry.
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work, particularly in contract drafting and review.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as Google Suite.
Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
Professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
