Our client seeks a Reconciliations Manager to join their team. Role Profile: Lead a team to ensure that all critical financial reconciliations within the Group is done in a timely, accurate and in accord with accounting standards. In addition, to provide assistance to the subsidiaries in regard to management information and analysis. Principle Accountabilities. Group Financial Controller. Group Finance Director. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing a team, including collaborating with key stakeholders outside of the Finance department, to ensure effective resolution of reconciling items. This includes: IT and Operations, liaising with third party suppliers and finance teams across the Group. Producing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring unusual discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner or escalated to senior management, as applicable. Contributing to and leading the launch of new automated initiatives, including purchase and sales ledger systems, RPAs, data-analysis tools. Compiling, maintaining and updating the reconciliation matrix to ensure that all critical reconciliations are identified and performed in the Group. Reviewing reconciliations prepared by others, querying the allocation and posting of outstanding and reconciled items. Training members within the team, upskilling individuals to develop their reconciliation skills. Adhering to the month-end timetable to ensure that reconciliations are completed by. Journal posting and month-end reporting activities. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting framework. Processing and timely release of electronic payments whilst ensuring payment release controls are maintained. Participating in adhoc projects as required. Maintain awareness and comply with all anti-money laundering legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the Group. Comply with all policies and procedures relevant to the role. Key Skills and Experience: Part qualified accountant or actively studying towards an accounting qualification or previous relevant work experience. Excellent excel and numeracy skills. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SUN and Xero).
