Our client seeks an Assistant Audit Manager to join their growing accounts department. Role profile: The ideal candidate will be at the heart of the audit team, driving key processes and contributing to strategic decision-making. You'll assist and work closely with the Audit Manager, helping to shape and execute audit strategies that ensure financial integrity and transparency. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external audits. Support daily audit operations and ensure compliance with auditing standards. Review and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Help ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies. Assist in managing and mentoring the audit team. Contribute to the development and implementation of audit strategies and procedures. Identify and assess areas of financial risk and assist in implementing mitigation strategies. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Monitor audit findings and follow up on corrective actions. There will be opportunities to work in other areas of the general practice and fiduciaries side of the business such as the preparation of financial statements and get involved with tax compliance such as drafting tax and VAT returns Key Skills & Experience: ACCA or ACA qualified or equivalent professional certification Proficient in accounting software, Word, Excel and Outlook Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and financial reporting regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail.
