Viva Heights Adult Mental Health & Complex Needs Service.
Hours - various. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the team, who is dedicated, committed and able to maintain high standards. The purpose of the role is to meet the nutritional needs of the individual service user. To promote healthy eating and nutritional well-being. To produce a wide variety of meals to promote choice. To assist the support workers in ensuring the residents lead a comfortable and happy life. To contribute to providing excellent standards of care. To maintain health and safety and food safety in the kitchen.

Experience: Previous experience of working in a care setting beneficial but not essential. Qualifications/Training: Good basic education. In possession of City and Guilds Catering Qualification or equivalent. Food Hygiene Level 3. Practical Skills: An effective communicator, both orally and written. Possess practical chef skills. Possess an ability to relate to people of differing presentation. Able to form positive relationships with clients and colleagues. The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.

Personal Qualities and Attributes: Attention to detail and conscientious. Approachable, friendly personality, well-mannered and confident. Presentable in appearance. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and cope with pressure. Flexible in thinking and open to change.

Responsibilities: To ensure the nutritional needs of the service users are met. To maintain a safe environment and procedures in relation to food handling. To maintain documentation. To comply with company policy and procedures.
