Crossroads are looking for an exceptional communicator
who can offer support to carers who feel that they are
not being heard. Your role will be to listen, understand,
champion and work with carers to help them navigate
the difficulties they encounter in their caring journey.
This will involve supporting them to access and
understand appropriate information and services,
ensuring that they are taken seriously and their rights
are respected.
To do this you must be able to listen effectively, engage
and build relationships with carers, other agencies and
statutory bodies. You will need knowledge or be able to
learn about the legislation and policies involved in the
social care system.
The successful applicant will have excellent
communication skills, the ability to maintain professional
relationships (often with families in distress), keep calm
under pressure and maintain confidentiality
This is a part time position -14 hours per week.
Qualifications and experience in the field of Social Care preferred but
not essential as personality is key and training will be
given. Applicants must have a clean driving licence and
access to their own vehicle as meetings may be
