Role Summary:
As a FatFace Store Assistant Manager, you'll put the customer at the heart of everything you do and support the Store Manager in maximising profitability through the retail plan. This includes driving sales, managing costs, and delivering our brand through strong visual execution. You'll create a fun and inspiring atmosphere aligned with our culture, support team development, and ensure high standards are maintained across the store.

Responsibilities:
As a store leader, you'll lead by example, upholding exceptional behaviour and protecting the brand. You'll drive customer service excellence while training, coaching, and developing your team, including supporting appraisals and reviews. With a commercial mindset, you'll analyse financial data and local insights to maximise sales and exceed KPIs. You'll manage budgets through efficient scheduling and cost control, and implement the retail plan and visual standards. You'll oversee stock, health & safety, compliance, and loss prevention, maintaining communication with Head Office to optimise stock. In the Store Manager's absence, you'll take charge of sales, standards, and team performance. You'll also champion our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Essential Skills and Experience:
You'll have proven retail management experience, with clothing desirable but not essential. A strong grasp of KPIs and commercial data will support decision-making, along with solid operational, stock, IT, and cash management experience. You'll be confident leading, coaching, and developing teams, with excellent planning and organisational skills. Self-motivated and calm under pressure, you'll take initiative and work well independently. Strong IT, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

As a key leader, you'll deliver exceptional customer service, always keeping the customer in focus. You'll promote FatFace's social and environmental mission and empower your team to contribute positively. With a focus on multi-channel sales, you''ll ensure the team has strong product knowledge and customer service skills. You'll champion our values, nurture team growth through learning opportunities, and set clear behavioural expectations. Great communication will ensure everyone understands their role in the store's success, while you also take ownership of your own development.

You'll help drive commercial success through data-led decisions, boosting conversion and identifying local growth opportunities. You'll ensure efficiency through scheduling, cost control, and team productivity. You'll manage store profitability, stock, visual presentation, and compliance. Reporting to the Store Manager, you'll also collaborate with teams like HR, Visual Merchandising, Stock Control, and Marketing, while building strong community relationships. You'll be accountable for team development, customer service, compliance, and creating a store experience that reflects the FatFace brand.
