Cafe Assistant

The Cafe Assistant is an all-round position that will require you to multitask, including food preparation, preparing hot and cold drinks, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to learn new things are essential in this role. The ideal candidate should be friendly and committed to providing a positive experience for all our customers. We are a small team, so being a strong team player is a must. You will need a reasonable level of fitness as our dine-in area is upstairs.
Previous experience in a busy cafe/restaurant, or customer service environment is preferred. A high standard of written and spoken English is required, as you will be taking and writing orders while speaking with the customers. A knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food preparation are preferred, as is the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A degree of flexibility to work varying hours is required, and occasional weekend shifts. This will be explained in more detail at interview stage. THE HOURS WILL NOT SUIT SOMEONE WISHING TO WORK AROUND SCHOOL HOURS or SOMEONE IN FULL-TIME EDUCATION. Early starts and later finishes will be required at times.
