Housekeeping Supervisor - West
We are looking for a full time Housekeeping Supervisor based in the west of the Island to join our friendly team.
The role is a 35 hr per week position which includes working most Saturdays (April -October) with a day off during the week and Sunday, and Monday to Friday the rest of the year.
The Housekeeping supervisor reports to our Housekeeping Manager, and is responsible for the smooth running of the housekeeping department ensuring that all of our properties are ready to welcome guests.
The role involves supporting our 40+ strong part time housekeeping team and liaising with our customer service, property management and maintenance departments. The Housekeeping supervisor based in the west is responsible for overseeing all of our west based properties, plus supporting the operation in the rest of the island from time to time. The job holder whilst largely based in the west will be required to travel round the island with regular visits to our main housekeeping base in Balthane, Ballasalla and office in Castletown.
Whilst the role is supervisory in nature, a large part of the role will involve cleaning and housekeeping within our properties so a good degree of physical fitness is required.

Regular Key Tasks:
Ensuring the housekeeping department in the west runs smoothly at all times.
Check Super control for incoming arrivals, and make sure housekeepers are aware of special requests
Monitor our housekeeping system Properly used to communicate with housekeepers, scheduling work as required. Ensure all properties are clean and ready for incoming guests, covering sickness and absence within the housekeeping team.
Conduct spot checks on properties as required.
When meeting guests or potential customers support with any face to face enquiries.
Handle any complaints received in a professional manner, resolving them appropriately. Handle queries from Homeowners as required. Be an ambassador for the Isle of Man and share local knowledge, ideas and suggestions for those on holiday!
Essential:
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to perform well under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
Driven attitude and excellent work ethic
Desire for personal development.
Full driving licence essential.
Enthusiasm and local knowledge for the Isle of Man and its various tourist attractions.
Desirable:
Previous Commercial Customer Service experience.
Experience of Customer Relationship Management systems.
