Contract Accountant

Our client seeks a Contract Accountant to join their team for a 6 month contract. This role involves supporting finance and accounting activities, including day-to-day project tasks. As well as assisting with various other finance-related responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Support Accounting and Integration activities. Valuation and transfer of accounting balances. Aligning all treatment of financial assets with group policies. Aligning/Mapping acquired company ledger for consolidated group reporting. Post completion accounts support. Asset valuation/impairment/write downs. Debtor strategy - write off/clear/transfer. Work with external consultants (auditors, tax advisors & PPA consultants)Agree all treatments with either: Group Financial Controller, CFO or HoFPA. Various other duties, including project-based work. Assistance with Tax work. Understand and comply with the licence and other regulatory rules, as well as the Data Protection Law applying to the position. Key Skills & Experience: Essential: A professional accounting qualification and membership of a recognised professional accounting body or working towards an accounting qualification with significant hands-on accounting or audit experience. High level of systems, IT and Excel skills. Strong project/time management skills. Able to work as part of a team. Ability to analyse, interpret and present financial information to non-financial persons and consider business implications. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Desirable: Experience working in telecoms or technology sector. Exposure to accounting packages and systems. Acquisition Accounting / M&A experience.
