Premium Care expect the Team Leader to give their personal best and strive for continuous improvement to ensure the highest standard of person-centered care and services are delivered at all times.
The main requirements of a Team Leader are:
To be responsible for the well-being i.e.the physical, emotional and social needs of all clients, in a caring, kind and respectful manner, preserving dignity and self-respect at all times and liaising with managers and the director of Premium Care.
To assist the care coordinator to plan and monitor care and to take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the team they are responsible for.
To assist in maintaining and developing accurate and robust records according to the requirements of the Registration and Inspection and Legal requirements.
To be responsible for ensuring Health and Safety legislation is in place and being adhered to at all times.
To carry out a rigorous risk assessment of a client's environment to ensure the Health and Safety of clients and their care workers is not compromised.
To be involved in, write, determine and verify client's Plans of Care. Carrying out annual reviews of the plan of Care, liaising with the Care coordinator.
To provide the highest standards of holistic care for all clients as per their plan of Care.
To help provide essential, physical and mental stimulation for individual clients by participating in recreational and social activities.
To provide advice and support to care support workers either in person or by telephone, appropriate to the circumstances during work hours.
To be involved in and responsible for the safe administration of medication.
To assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
To report to the management of Premium Care any bad care practice or harm to a client, either directly observed or from information received.
To contribute to care worker support and supervision and identifying training needs.
To ensure Premium Care's policy on Confidentiality is upheld.
To comply with written and verbally agreed Terms and Conditions Contract including following the Carer Code of Conduct.
To ensure the efficient running of the team rota.
This role requires a driving license and full time hours which will be required to be worked any shift over a 24 hour period/ 7 days per week on a rota basis as well as covering the team for sickness or unexpected absence cover if required at the time.
