MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To carry out varieties of machine sewing on high-end knitted garments.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Understanding of all different types of machines used for machine sewing; flatlock machine, overlocking machine, coverstitch machine, button holing machine, button attachment machine.
Attach zippers to knitted garments.
Attach buttons to knitted garments.
Apply button holes to the placket for all garments.
Attaching care labels.
Attaching any labels which need to be doubled prior to handsewing i.e. main label and country of origin, main label and size label etc.
Cutting fabric required for knit/woven hybrid styles.
Applying fabric to knit/woven hybrid styles.
Understanding thread tension on all machines and how to control/adjust.
