Main purpose of the job:
Albion Knitting Company, a luxury flatbed knitting factory, is looking for enthusiastic and team minded individuals with knitwear experience and knowledge to join our busy knitwear department.
Duties include:
Preparing machines for production.
Cleaning and maintenance of machines.
Monitoring quality of knitted panels and detecting faults in order to eliminate repetitive problems.
Preparing production for next stage.
Ensuring effectiveness of operation and maximized efficiency.
Addressing any issues to the supervisor.
Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Making sure that all products are knitted and inspected according to specified quality and quantity.
Working well as a part of a team.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Other related duties are required.
Being able to follow instructions clearly.
Good knowledge of knitwear and stitch construction.
Must have strong communication skills and be fluent in the English language.
Having the ability to trouble shoot technical issues and assess knitting machines for damage
Ability to work over time when and if asked.
Must be able to work night shift.
