REPONSIBLE TO: Programming Supervisor / Production Manager.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To take client designs and tech packs, follow their requirements to develop and create prototypes to the best of your ability and to client's request.
DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:
Experience with M1+ and/or Create+ Stoll programming systems and be competent in creating fully-fashioned, high-end knitted products.
Liaising with clients, account servicing dept. to confirm all correct specifications before creating computer knitting programs.
Create all required Stoll computer knitting programs for both sampling and bulk production.
Communicate any and all specific requirements to the knitting manager prior to SMS and bulk knitting commencing.
Clear and friendly communication with all clients and relevant staff to determine any technical aspects of garments.
Ability to convert Shima programs to Stoll programs.
Strong knowledge of textile technology and processes (including measurement chart reading, understanding and subsequent grading).
Knowledge of and experience in using different yarn counts and compositions, and understanding which yarn is most suitable to which gauge.
SKILLS:
Problem solving capability.
Positive attitude in forming collaborative partnership with other members of staff.
Creativity within the scope of knitwear programming.
Good time management and prioritization skills.
Oversee computer knitting workshop production.
Salary: £50,000-£60,000.
